Air School
Our company ADS ballooning, s.r.o. is the seat of Air school of Slovak National Aeroclub M. R. Štefánik – field of study: ballooning. We provide lessons and training for hot-air balloon pilots, prescribed training and exams in accordance with air law and regulations.

You can take theoretical and practical lessons with our professional instructors and inspectors.

To obtain a pilot licence, you need:
  • medical check-up
  • license – limited board radio-operator
  • theoretical sittings (lessons of app. 50 hours)
  • practical sittings (16 flying hours with instructor)
  • practical and theoretical exams
Theoretical preparation consists of the following parts:
  • aerostatics
  • air meteorology
  • air navigation
  • air rules
  • balloon construction
  • board instruments
  • radio-technics
  • connecting rules
